The Skardu Deosai Meadow Safari is a 5-day 4×4 jeep safari combining the dramatic city of Skardu with an immersive exploration of Deosai National Park — the world’s second-highest plateau at 4,114m. This is Pakistan’s finest wildlife safari: open Land Cruisers crossing vast wildflower meadows in search of Himalayan brown bears, golden marmots and rare birds, under skies unobstructed by trees or buildings.
Deosai National Park — Pakistan’s Premier Safari Destination
Deosai became a protected national park specifically to protect the critically endangered Himalayan brown bear — population recovered from fewer than 19 in 1993 to over 78 today. The vast, open plateau with its network of glacial streams makes bear sightings far more likely here than anywhere else in Pakistan. Marmots are almost guaranteed — hundreds of their burrow colonies dot the plateau.
