The Skardu & Hunza Jeep Tour is an exhilarating 8-day 4×4 adventure through the two greatest destinations in Gilgit-Baltistan — covering the dramatic forts, glacial lakes and desert landscape of Baltistan in Skardu, then crossing to the terraced orchards and glacial peaks of Hunza Valley along the legendary Karakoram Highway, all in the comfort and freedom of a dedicated Land Cruiser.
Why Travel by Jeep?
A dedicated 4×4 gives you complete flexibility — stop at any viewpoint, turn off onto unmade tracks, access remote valleys and reach spots impossible by standard vehicles. Our drivers know every track in the region and can take you to off-road viewpoints and hidden spots that no tour bus ever reaches.
Skardu Section (Days 1–4)
Begin with the iconic highlights of Baltistan by 4×4: Kharpocho Fort at sunset, the brilliant Satpara Lake, the unique Skardu cold desert dunes (one of the world’s highest deserts), the Shigar Valley track to the restored Shigar Fort Heritage Hotel, and a full day 4×4 across the vast Deosai National Park plateau — Himalayan brown bears, marmots and Sheosar Lake at 4,142m.
Hunza Section (Days 5–8)
Drive north along the Indus River to join the Karakoram Highway. Jeep track above Attabad Lake for aerial views. Continue to Passu Cones and the Batura Glacier face. Return via Eagle’s Nest (3,200m) for the panoramic Hunza Valley view, then Baltit Fort and Karimabad bazaar.
