Why October in Hunza?
Autumn in Hunza Valley rivals — and for many visitors surpasses — the famous cherry blossom spring. The golden foliage is uniquely intense: apricot leaves turn deep yellow-orange, poplars become columns of gold and the harvested terraces take on rich ochre tones. All of this unfolds below Rakaposhi (7,788m) and Ultar Sar (7,388m) with their fresh October snowfall gleaming white against the autumn gold below.
